Fire shutter FIREGUARD 1634 of company GNS, the exclusive representative of which the company AVAPS in the Czech and Slovak Republics is, falls in the category of thermally insulated fire shutters. It can be used in exteriors or as a fire partition of passage between interior and exterior. Thanks to its thermally insulated component it can be used to part differently tempered parts of a building. Due to thermal insulation it has wider lamellas and therefore the room of winding is less demanding, comparing to the steel fire shutter FIREROLL E240 which has no thermal insulation. It can only be used as a fire shutter if it is rolled all the time above an opening and rides down on the basis of an impulse, closes the passage and fulfils its function for which it was certified. Alternatively it can be used as a traditional shutter but with partial limitation in cycling (approx. 4-5 cycles per hour).
